NYSDOT announced on Monday afternoon a new round of pedestrian safety improvements along route 5 from Albany to Schenectady. This woman ran across route 5 near Colonie Center. Colonie Inv. Nick Layne stopped the woman and wrote her up with a warning ticket during the afternoon "safety blitz" by local police agencies.
