NISKAYUNA — Police responded to Niskayuna High School Friday morning, after the school received a report that a student threatened violence at the school, according to a statement from the school district.
School officials said the Niskayuna Police Department received information about the alleged threat at 8:46 a.m. The student was in the school at the time and was removed from class, according to the school district.
That student, along with other students, were then interviewed by police.
It does not appear that the school was put on lock down, though staff and students were made aware of the threat and the investigation.
The district said the school day continued as normal, adding that “any infractions of school policy will be subject to consequences in accordance with the code of conduct. Generally, we also continually work to make sure that any students who need assistance receive help and support.”
