Rotary to sell trees this weekend

Deck your halls and support local students this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Niskayuna Rotary Christmas Tree sale. It is the first time in a few years that the group has hosted a sale.

Put on your mittens and scarves and head to 1301 Hillside in Niskayuna on Friday between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to pick out your Balsam Fir tree that will only set you back $40. Trees will be between six and eight feet tall.

Funds raised from the sale of the festive conifers will benefit the many programs the Rotary supports including international exchange students, scholarships, adopting a fifth grade classroom at Lincoln School in Schenectady, funding field trips, technology in schools and more.

When: Friday, Dec. 8, 3 – 5 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: 1301 Hillside Drive, Niskayuna

Cost: $40 per tree, proceeds to benefit Rotary-sponsored programs in the community
