Meet the Author. Alexandra Stafford, a Niskayuna resident, blogger and author of “Bread, Toast, Crumbs,” will be at the Niskayuna Co-op on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by and sample a recipe, pick up her book and shop local.

Banker Eisner-Mix to address Rotary meeting
Niskayuna Rotarian Sayla Eisner-Mix will be the guest speaker on Oct. 3 at the organization’s weekly Tuesday meeting. As a relatively new Rotarian, Eisner-Mix will share with us her life story, including her work with schools to set up student banking programs. It has been shown that students who participate learn to plan for the future and do better in life.
Niskayuna Rotary meetings are held at the Blue Ribbon Restaurant & Bakery, 1801 State St (Route 5) from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m.

Katie O’Byrnes to host benefit for cancer patient
Raise a glass for a good cause at Katie O’Byrnes and help Niskayuna class of 1995 graduate Kelly Carron fight breast cancer. The fundraiser will be held on Sunday, Oct. 1 from 1 to 6 p.m. Admission is $20 and includes barbecue and beverages including beer, wine and soda.
