Northeast Parent & Child to host rummage sale

SCHENECTADY — The Northeast Parent & Child Society will host an inside rummage and bag sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, at the State Street Presbyterian Church, 5 Catherine St. Items include clothes (bag sale), shoes, housewares, toys, baby items, books, etc.

Student to speak at Rotary breakfast

This summer, N-CAP sponsored Meghna Tetembe to attend a Youth to Youth conference, where she developed skills for making positive choices. Youth to Youth is a drug prevention and leadership program for teens. Tetembe will share her experience on Aug. 29 at a Niskayuna Rotary breakfast.

Niskayuna Rotary welcomes the public every Tuesday morning for breakfast, 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. at the Blue Ribbon Restaurant & Bakery, 1801 State St (Route 5).  Teens are particularly invited and encouraged to come hear Tetembe.

Outdoor yoga session set Aug. 29 at Town Hall

Grab your mat and head to Niskayuna Town Hall for the second free session of outdoor yoga. Led by certified instructors from Power Yoga New York, the session will take place on the green space in front of Town Hall at 6 p.m. on Aug. 29.
