Niskayuna’s Lucas Quinn was the lone Section II player to receive a first-team selection Monday when the New York State Sportswriters Association released its first-ever all-state teams in boys’ lacrosse.

Quinn, set to play next spring for Syracuse University, led Niskayuna to a Section II Class B championship during his senior season. One of the top players in Section II history, the midfielder registered 68 goals and 44 assists in the final season of a high school career which saw Quinn score a program-record 342 points.

All-state teams were divided amongst large-school and small-school divisions, with players from Class A and B schools landing on large-school teams and players from Class C and D schools earning spots on the small-school teams.

Along with Quinn at the large-school level, Guilderland defenseman Tyler Hess made the second team, Niskayuna midfielder Mike Doxie was a third-team selection, Shenendehowa goalie Anthony Tebbano was a fourth-team pick and Queensbury defenseman Devin O’Leary made the sixth team.

At the small-school level, Greenwich midfielder Jack Pemrick was a fourth-team selection and Greenwich attackman Hayden Stalter made the fifth team.
