Symphony musicale set

NISKAYUNA — The League of the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra will hold its annual meeting and musicale at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, at the Jewish Community Center, 2565 Balltown Road.

The Stefan and Parillo Scholarship awards will be given to Hannah Sohn, cello, and Aram Kim, violin. The winners of the Parillo Competition, Kyra Lombard and  Gabrielle Kim will perform.

Remembrance prayer service set

NISKAYUNA — A Remembrance Garden Prayer Service, for those who have experienced the loss of a baby or child, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 18,  at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy Road.

Garden volunteers sought

NISKAYUNA — The Niskayuna Library Gardeners are looking for additional volunteers to begin planting annuals at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, on the library grounds at 2400 Nott St. No experience is required.  Master gardeners will be on hand to provide tips on “best practices.”
