The gift of sight

NISKAYUNA — At the next Niskayuna Rotary meeting, Dr. Rob Fox will describe a recent medical mission to Mexico, where hundreds of children were provided with free eye exams and glasses. Come pull up a chair at the breakfast table with a few Niskayuna Rotarians on May 9, 2017 at 7:15 a.m. at the Blue Ribbon Bakery & Restaurant, 1801 State St (Route 5).  


Laugh out loud

Take a seat in Niskayuna High School’s Little Theater for the drama club’s production of the comedy “The Man Who Came to Dinner” on May 5 at 7 p.m. and May 6 at 2 and 7 p.m. (The three-day run began on May 4.) Tickets are available at the door. Adult tickets are $10 and student and senior tickets are $9.

Shoe drive ending

It’s your last chance to donate gently used shoes to benefit the YWCA of Northeastern New York. Drop your kicks off at the bin in the rotunda at Town Hall before the end of business on Friday, May 5.


Mother’s Day luncheon

Celebrate the moms in your life at the Niskayuna Senior Center (2682 Aqueduct Road, Niskayuna) Tuesday, May 9 at noon with a special luncheon of tea sandwiches of egg salad, chicken salad, and tuna salad accompanied by fresh fruit. All are welcome. Registration is requested.
