Tied early, Silver Warriors pull away from Spartans

Tied after a quarter, the Niskayuna boys’ lacrosse team pulled away for a 21-10 Suburban Council win Tuesday against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.

Lucas Quinn had four goals and six assists in the win, while Connor Wolff had five goals. Jon Pfohl and Mike Doxie each added four goals, with Pfohl collecting three assists and Doxie adding two.

Burnt Hills’ Ty McHerron and Jake Stanko each had three goals.

The teams were tied at 3 after one period, but Niskayuna led 12-6 at halftime.

Colonie topped Schenectady 17-15.

Jason Grandeau had six goals and three assists for Colonie, while Matt Fisher had five goals and four assists.

Schenectady’s Steve Avramidis had six goals and three assists, Giovanni Kelso collected five goals and three assists, and Mike Avramidis had three goals and two assists.

Bethlehem won 20-3 against Albany.

PJ Namkoong had five goals and an assist. Zach Nunez scored four goals.

Tucker Peceri scored five goals and had two assists in Guilderland’s 17-8 win against Troy.

Connor Quimby and Anthony Sericolo each added three goals.

Troy’s Tyrone Jones scored five goals.

CBA topped Columbia 5-4 in overtime.

Luke McMahon scored two goals in the win, while Columbia’s Shane Wyman also scored two goals.

Saratoga Springs won 16-4 against Averill Park.

Dylan Honis had three goals and two assists, while Griffin Taylor had two goals and three assists.

Shaker topped Ballston Spa 9-5.

Jack Cheney had three goals and two assists in the win.

James Conway scored a school-record nine goals in a 25-2 Foothills Council win against South Glens Falls.

Dawson LaLuna added five goals, while Colin Cunningham had one goal and six assists.

In a 14-0 Wasaren League win against Johnstown, Cambridge’s Zack Rowland had four goals and five assists.

Burnt Hills’ Taylor Safford scored three goals.

Saratoga Springs won 18-2 against Averill Park.

Sophia Burke scored five goals and Katie Wendell added four.

The Blue Streaks led 14-1 at halftime.
