Ben Funyak and Nick Insognia hit home runs to back the pitching of Alec Ritzenthaler as Niskayuna dealt Ballston Spa its first Suburban Council baseball defeat Monday 6-0.

Funtak hit a three-run home run and Insogna hit a two-run homer, while Ritzenthaler scattered three singles and struck out nine.

Jimmy Joyce added a double for the 6-1 Silver Warriors. Ballston Spa dipped to 7-1 in the league.

Nick Melillo and Ian Beauregard both had a double and an RBI to help CBA (5-2, 6-2) edge Guilderland (4-2, 4-5) in another key Suburban matchup.

Christian Italiano paced the Dutchmen with a double, single, an RBI and a run scored.

Dylan Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI as Bethlehem beat Schenectady 8-6.

Jacob Wilson had two hits for the Patriots.

Columbia beat Albany 16-6, with Nicolas Stagnitta and Justin Pangburn both getting three hits and combining for seven RBI.
Stagnitta had four RBIs, and Pangburg, like Josh McCaffrey, had three RBIs.

Griffin Wallner went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Matt Connors went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs for Shenendehowa in an 11-8 win at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.
