NISKAYUNA — More than 80 Niskayuna Central Schools students were selected to have their art displayed on the South Concourse of the Empire State Plaza for the eighth annual K-8 Empire State Plaza Art Collection Exhibit.
In conjunction with National Youth Art Month, the event showcased more than 1,000 works of art from Capital Region students in grades kindergarten through eight.
Artists from all five Niskayuna elementary and two middle schools were represented.
On March 9, a reception was held for the participants which included a keynote speech from Troy-based ceramic artist Jillian Hirsch.
The students’ artwork were on display until Sunday, March 19.
