The Niskayuna Capital District Youth Basketball League teams won all five games against Mohonasen on Feb. 4.
Luke Sheeran led three players in double figures with 20 points as the Niskayuna eighth-grade team won 58-43. Kenyon Coleman scored 13 points, and Tyler Camelo added 12.
The Niskayuna seventh-grade team cruised to a 56-12 victory. Darian Parker led the way with 13 points. Danny Malatesta and Brock Behrman each scored 10 points.
All 10 of Niskayuna’s sixth-grade players scored in a 44-21 triumph. Sam Booth had eight points, while Tristan Adrian and Brooks Brennan added seven points each.
Ryan Spain’s 14 points lifted the Niskayuna fifth-grade squad to a 54-29 win. Colin McMahon and Nick Thomas each scored 12 points.
Niskayuna’s fourth-grade team won 40-14. Duncan Munro and Zach Mravlja had three assists.
The Niskayuna third-grade CYO team split two games. It lost to Our Savior of Colonie 22-19 on Feb. 4. Braden Fields, Charles Gadsden and Will Souza had four points each, and Silvio Polsinelli had two rebounds and one steal.
The next day, Niskayuna beat Duanesburg 23-9. Will Souza led the way with six points, 10 rebounds and four steals.
Heather Schmidt scored 11 points, and Ryleigh Endres added 10 points as the Niskayuna seventh-graders beat Brunswick 49-25 in the Capital District Girls’ Basketball League on Feb. 4.
In Niskayuna’s other games against Brunswick, the eighth-graders lost 31-21, the sixth-graders won 50-17 and the fifth-graders took a 47-14 victory.
