NISKAYUNA- Starting around 9 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, water will be temporarily shut down, affecting residents located between 750 and 818 Huntingdon Drive.
Other houses that may be affected include 2453 Westminster, 2460 Cambridge, 2461 Cambridge and 2444 Durham Path.
Due to weather and other conditions, the water main that was scheduled to be replaced starting at 9 a.m. on August 10, could not be completed.
The shut-down is scheduled as a part of a long-term water main replacement project along Pearse and Lishakill Roads. While the water is shut-down, the newly constructed water main on Cambridge will be connected to the main on Huntingdon.
If workers experience any problems during this process, water may be shut down for a longer duration.
When the water is turned on there may be discoloration, which should clear up in a short time period. If the discoloration does not clear up, call the water department at 377-8411 or 386-4520.
