NISKAYUNA- On July 28, the Niskayuna school district received results from lead-testing conducted throughout the month of June.
All water sources in every Niskayuna school were tested for lead levels, for a total of 225 sources.
The test revealed two faucets had elevated lead levels. One faucet is in the Student Support Services Office suite at Niskayuna high school and the other is a faucet in the kitchen at Glencliff Elementary.
Both faucets are being re-tested.
However, the district is considering replacing the supply lines to the faucets with plastic piping if the second round of testing reveals elevated lead levels.
