Niskayuna voted best-tasting water in region

ALBANY — Niskayuna was voted the best-tasting water in the Capital Region, a press release said.

Niskayuna won the most votes in the Capital Regional Tap Water Taste Contest at the Alive at Five concert on Thursday, August 4.

Ninety people sampled water from Village of Green Island, City of Troy, Village of Fort Plain, Clifton Park Water Authority and from the Town of Niskayuna.

Participants tasted samples of each and voted on their choice of best and second best.

“Clifton Park Water Authority was a close second. Niskayuna won by three votes,” Manoj Ajmera, the contest organizer, said.

The Town of Niskayuna will be going on the the final round of the contest, which will be held at the State Fair in Syracuse on September 2, 2016.

This final round will decide the state champion of tap water taste for 2016.
