Niskayuna police start Take Me Home program

A new Niskayuna program will help police identify people with autism or other disabilities who have wandered away from school or home, officials said.

The voluntary program, called Take Me Home, has families of dependents with autism or other disabilities supply police with descriptions and other information, so that police can search a database for information if a family member goes missing.

Take Me Home will be implemented by the Niskayuna police department. Families who wish to apply should contact the department or download the application form through the Niskyauna town website.
