Pair of boys’ youth hoops teams record wins

NISKAYUNA — Two of the six Niskayuna boys’ travel basketball teams recorded wins in Nov. 15 Capital District Youth Basketball League action.

Against Schenectady, the fifth-graders recorded a 32-20 victory, with Sam Booth leading the way with a dozen points. Also, Dylan Mennillo added six points in the win.

In Niskayuna’s other win, the third-graders topped Scotia 12-10, with George Angelopolous and Brady Olsen each scoring four points, and Ethan Gilson and Duncan Munro each scoring two.

In other action — all against Schenectady — the eighth-graders fell 55-43, with Ethan St. Lucia scoring 12 points and Sean St. Lucia adding 11; the seventh-graders received 15 points from Leo O’Brien in a 52-46 loss, while Kenyon Coleman had 13; Darian Parker had five points and Ryan Funyak added four in a 45-24 defeat for the sixth-graders; and, in a 42-25 loss, Parker Aikens and Gavin Olsen each had six points for the fourth-grade team.
