NISKAYUNA — As part of its conclusion to “Spirit Week,” Niskayuna High School played host to its first pep rally in more than a decade at the end of today’s school day.

Each of the school’s varsity teams were introduced, a pie-eating contest was conducted, cheers and songs were performed, and a group of students beat some of their teachers in an intense game of dodgeball.

The pep rally was made possible through the efforts of Niskayuna’s Warrior Project, which is a student initiative to promote positive behavior and school spirit.

Your Niskayuna reporters Kate Bunster and Michael Kelly were there for the action, which filled up the high school’s gymnasium.

Here’s a glimpse of what our reporters saw on a “great day to be a Warrior.”
