A boil water advisory issued Tuesday for some Niskayuna residents was lifted Thursday afternoon.
A separate town-wide boil water advisory — prompted Thursday, Sept. 3, by two water main breaks within one hour — was lifted Saturday.
The most recent advisory affected residents of 2680 through 2812 Rosendale Road and 2824 through 2992 River Road, and all houses on Covington Court, Agostino Avenue, Deanna Court, Partridge Run, Whitmyer Drive and Lock 7 Road.
Those residents no longer need to boil water for drinking and culinary purposes, according to a news release from the Schenectady County Department of Environmental Health. As a precaution, they are advised to flush all water lines in their homes or businesses for three to five minutes prior to use.
Residents are also reminded to discard any ice made by ice machines during the advisory.
