NISKAYUNA — Here is what you need to know for today about Niskayuna athletics:

YESTERDAY’S SCORES

FIELD HOCKEY: Saratoga Springs 3, Niskayuna 0

GOLF: Niskayuna 263, Ballston Spa 280

THE HIGHLIGHTS

After some early-season struggles, the Niskayuna golf team has righted the ship. In Wednesday’s win, the team received great rounds from each of Nick Rumsey (39), Tyler Gregory (41), and Tyler Bobbitt (43).

Also, Emma Skumurski made six saves in goal for the Niskayuna field hockey squad.

TODAY’S TOP GAME

It has to be the Niskayuna girls’ soccer team’s game against Mohonasen. Both teams won their first games of the 2015 season against Suburban Council foes, with Mohonasen pulling off a surprise in an upset win against powerful Saratoga Springs. The Silver Warriors get the homefield advantage for the contest.
