NISKAYUNA — Here are five things to know for today about Niskayuna High School athletics:

Head coach Mike Vorgang will pick up career win No. 350 if the Niskayuna boys lacrosse squad wins today against Columbia. Despite some injury woes, the Silver Warriors are unbeaten this season in Section II play.

The Niskayuna girls lacrosse team will also be in action today vs. Columbia. Ranked No. 7 in the state, the Silver Warriors are coming off a 24-3 win on Tuesday against Colonie.

With a 9-0 victory Wednesday against Colonie, the Niskayuna boys tennis team collected its fifth win of the season. The Silver Warriors have only lost once this season.

Wednesday, the Niskayuna baseball team used two singles from Matt Toy and a double from Mike VanHeusen to topple Colonie, 9-3.

Two hits apiece came from Stacy Gordon, Hannah Salmon, and Makaylah Woodward, but that was not enough Wednesday for the Niskayuna softball team. The squad lost to Colonie, 18-2.
