Proctors volunteers spring into action after outage

— Cindy LaRoe learned around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday that power was out at the Broadway parking garage, just minutes before the final bows of Proctors’ opening-night staging of the family-friendly, Tony-award winning production of “Annie.”

“It was going to be very, very dark, and we had a whole house full of parents and young children leaving in about 20 minutes,” said LaRoe, the theater’s front-of-house manager.
