Girls Basketball: Niskayuna falls to Shenendehowa

CLIFTON PARK — On Senior Night, the four Shenendehowa girls basketball players of honor combined for almost a third of the Plainsmen’s points in a 77-30 win Friday against Niskayuna.

Seniors Erin Hulbert and Amanda Lee each had eight points, while classmates Emily Patchell had seven and Maggie Statler had two.

Leading the Plainsmen were sophomore Sydney Brown with 20 points and junior Carly Boland with 17, as Shenendehowa improved to 17-1 on the season.

For Niskayuna, Kayla O’Brien had eight points.

Shenendehowa led 26-6 after one quarter.

With a win Tuesday against Shaker, the Plainsmen will win the Suburban Council.
