Bowling: Niskayuna sweeps Averill Park

AVERILL PARK — Both the Niskayuna High School boys and girls bowling teams picked up Suburban Council wins Monday against Averill Park.

The boys were 18-14 winners, while the Silver Warriors girls collected a 20-12 victory.

For the Niskayuna boys, Dominic Favata had a high game of 244 to feed a 708 series to lead the way, while Evan Desso compiled a 556 triple.

For the Niskayuna girls, Julia Favata had the high series with a 605, while Lauren Litz’s 494, Morgan Richards’ 452 and Gina Voris’ 435 also were major contributors. Julia Favata’s high game was a 225.
