Boys Basketball: Niskayuna drops consolation game

SCHENECTADY — After holding a slim halftime lead, the Niskayuna boys basketball team fell in Tuesday’s consolation game of the Arthur Hilliard Memorial Basketball Tournament to Columbia.

The Silver Warriors led by a point at intermission before Columbia pulled away for a 64-57 victory. Shane Hammill led the Blue Devils with 20 points, while Columbia used an 18-9 advantage in the third quarter to pull away.

For Niskayuna, Tommy Kelly had a team-high 14 points and Connor Detrick had 13.
