JCC film screening

NISKAYUNA — The Schenectady JCC Jewish Film Festival continues with the Israeli drama “Footnote” at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11.

Following the film, Mark Muraven, professor of social psychology at the University at Albany, will lead a discussion. Dinner will be available at 5:30 p.m.

The following Niskayuna High School sports events are scheduled:

  • Friday, Dec. 26, 5:20 p.m.: Ice hockey vs. North Rockland at Union College
  • Saturday, Dec. 27, noon: Ice hockey, opponent TBD, Schenectady County Recreational Facility
  • Saturday, Dec. 27, 2 p.m.: Girls basketball vs. Schenectady
  • Sunday, Dec. 28, 1 p.m.: Girls basketball vs. Bishop Maginn
  • Monday, Dec. 29, 1:45 p.m.: Track league meet at Union College
  • Friday, Jan. 2, 5:50 p.m.: Ice hockey vs. Bethlehem High School at Union College.

Lacrosse clinic

NISKAYUNA — The Schenectady JCC will host its first girls’ indoor lacrosse clinic in early 2015 for first- through fourth-graders.

Classes are scheduled for Tuesdays, Jan. 13, 20 and 27, as well as Feb. 3, 10 and 24. The cost for all six lessons is $45, or $25 for members. Participants must provide their own lacrosse sticks and goggles. Prior experience in lacrosse is beneficial, but not required.
