Missing Children ride set

NISKAYUNA — The seventh annual Ride for Missing Children of the Greater Capital District will take place Friday, Sept. 19.

The 100-mile bike ride, organized by the Executive Committee for the Ride for Missing Children, will ride around the Greater Capital Region and visit local elementary schools to bring a message of child safety and abduction prevention. The ride will include a stop at Birchwood Elementary School at 8:15 a.m. Anyone can register to ride or make a donation. For more information, see rideformissingchildrengcd.com.

Fall Fun Run set Sept. 20

NISKAYUNA — The town of Niskayuna will hold its annual Fall Fun Run at Town Hall on Saturday, Sept. 20.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a free 100-yard dash for kids. The 5K race kicks off at 5:45 and the free, milelong fun run/walk starts at 6 p.m. Registration for the 5K is $20 per person, or $50 for a family. Proceeds are used to keep the town’s youth programs affordable. All are welcome to enjoy music, games and festivities free of charge. Sign up for the run online at www.niskayuna.org.
